Summer session is over! Let me tell you that this summer has been rough, especially June. Trying to condense four months of instruction into eight weeks can be quite a challenge!
The garden has been reduced to just four plants: the black cherry tomato, one eggplant, and two jalapeno plants. It was so hot that the okra gave up. Yes, you read that correctly. I cut down both okra plants two weeks ago. The wimpy yellow pear tomato was also removed. As I said before, it doesn't like summer in the Deep South.
I'm going to enjoy a few days off. I will upload a garden update just for the sake of chronicling the garden.

Welcome back! Things have been kind of busy here. But mostly, I just don't have the writing mojo. It'll come back eventually.
My sympathies on summer teaching. I haven't taught summer session since 2010, and don't miss it in the least.
Same here for gardens. The only thing doing well is the basil I've got in a hanging basket on the south side of the porch. Who would have thought? Mom got her tomatoes in the ground way late (like, July 4th) and thinks we'll have fall tomatoes. I dunno.
