Woohoo! Summer is over!

For the first time in years, I actually had two complete weeks before the fall so that I could plan for the fall semester! Relief! Usually there are only three days to transition from summer to fall!  The fall semester began without any major issues! However, no matter how well I plan, I always feel tense. For some reason, I just can't relax, relate, release! Oh yeah, maybe because I have been drinking so much sweet iced tea and I have not been walking consistently.

It's time again for goals! You know that I don't make resolutions nor do I wait until January to list them and make them real! Let get started!

Lost twenty pounds.  I no longer can say I want to lose weight. That is too general of a statement. If I lose one pound, then I've lost weight, right? See what I mean.

Have another savings account for just savings. Yes, I have a full-funded emergency fund (Yes! Yes! Yes! That's why I worked the summer session.), so this account is for car repairs, doctor's appointments, and the like.

Eat three decent and healthy meals a day on time. This has been a problem as of late. The last meal I eat is at three o'clock in the afternoon. Then I teach from seven to eleven, back-to-back, the next morning. I go more that twelve hours without a meal. For some stupid reason, I expect my body run full throttle (great teaching, nice personality, stable body system) until I eat at noon. SMH.

Walk every day. I know, I know. Consistency is the key to weight loss. My fabulous walking shoes are laughing at me.

Avoid too much sugar, salt and caffeine. This is the true challenge. Salt is in everything! Ugh! I can do it if I cook more food at home.

Cook more food at home, buy groceries and restock pantry. See above.

These goals are enough! Wish me luck.

You can do it! :-) It's tough, but worth it. For me, I take very small steps toward any goal; I have to take it day by day and remind myself of how good I'll feel later when I walk, eat, do yoga, etc.

Keep us posted!
